The I MarxFem Conference – Mar 2015, Berlin

The first edition of what would become the International Marxist Feminist Conferences, took place in Berlin in March 2015.

Having as starting point the concept of Marxism Feminism, proposed by Frigga Haug in the Historical- Critical Dictionary of Marxism by the Berliner Institut für kritische Theorie, the feminist section of InkriT, the Rosa Luxemburg Foundation and transform! europe organised a conference entitled “Strength of Critique: Trajectories of Marxism Feminism” that gathered over 500 participants.

At the closing session, Frigga Haug proposed a draft document encompassing 12 Theses of Marxism Feminism – a seminal document that paved the way for subsequent International Marxist Feminist conferences.
