The IV MarxFem Conference – Nov 2021, Basque Country
The fourth International Marxist Feminist Conference, originally planned to be held in Bilbao had to be staged online, in the aftermath of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Organised in plenary and collective sessions around 10 thematic axes and with on-line sessions open to all participants, this MarxFem Conference was honoured to have as renowned keynote speakers Tithi Bhattacharya, Lorena Cabnal, Ochy Curiel, Gina Dent, Silvia Federici, Nancy Fraser, Jule Goikoetxea Frigga Haug and Gayatri C. Spivak, among others. This edition of the MarxFem Conference proved, once again, that Marxist Feminist thinking is not in crisis: multiple proposals, discourses and practices all over the world made it clear that the emancipation path remains open.
