Gabriele Michalitsch, PhD, is a political scientist and economist at the Universities of Vienna and Klagenfurt (Austria). She has held (visiting) professorships in Beijing (2016), Budapest (2007) and Istanbul (2003-04), among others, and was chair of the Council of Europe’s expert group on gender budgeting. Her research focuses on political economy, political theories, and feminist economics.
